2017 marks the 200th anniversary of the British gold sovereign, to mark this occasion a beautiful new sovereign coin has been struck.

The 2017 12 Sided Gold Sovereign is the first of its kind in the world taking the shape of the new British pound coin.

The coin features a cameo portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the Latin inscription DIU VIVERE MONARCHIA which translates to “long live the monarchy”.
